Working to a common goal
08 May 2018
The International Federation of Accountants has said governments and other leading organisations need to do more to ensure accountants are training to the common international accounting standards.
In a new report the IFAC said that there is a rising concern that both the public and private sectors around the globe have a poor understanding and little capacity to introduce international accounting education standards.
IFAC’s director of quality and development, Joseph Bryson, has stressed that these international education standards are ‘absolutely fundamental’ for the profession. They are also vital to ensuring economic growth.
Bryson pointed out that international standards and education allow the profession and professionals to have global mobility.
