KPMG UK record growth

Revenues at KPMG UK are up by 8%, a 10-year record, rising from £2,172m to £2,338m, according to newly released figures. Underlying profits also increased by 18% year-on-year to £356m.
Senior Partner, Bill Michael, said the results are the product of the tough decisions the firm had to make, refocusing the business on its core strengths.
Average partner remuneration rose to £601,000, up from £519,000 paid in 2017. Thatís an £80,000 pay rise. Michael was paid £2.1m for his role as senior partner and chairman.
KPMG hired 1,356 new graduates and apprentices across the UK, a 22% increase on last year, with 48% of the new roles based in the firmís offices outside London. KPMG also introduced eight new specialist graduate technology training routes, offering graduates the opportunity to specialise in cutting-edge technology sectors, such as cyber security.
