EY unveils its gender and BAME pay gaps

13 October 2017

EY has announced that it has a 14.8% gender pay gap. That, says EY, compares to the national ONS median of 18.1%.

It has estimated that this gap has improved by around 10 percentage points compared to 2012 as a result of the firm’s “sustained focus on progress in diversity and inclusion”.
At the same time EY has also published its ethnicity pay gap for the UK, which has been calculated at 9.8%.

Last month PwC revealed its BAME staff earn 12.8% less than other employees.

EY said a pay gap will persist until there is equal or proportionate gender and ethnic minority representation at every level and job role in the firm. Currently there are more men at senior levels and fewer in less senior positions!
