ACCA EXAMS DAY TWO
06 September 2017
What did ACCA September sitters think of F7 and P2...
Some F7 September sitters were surprised by the fact that there was absolutely nothing about the statement of cash flows, not even in the MCQs, this time around.
The MCQs came in for some flack as they were deemed a bit limited and for not covering all the syllabus, as promised!
However, overall this was a good exam for many and the long-form questions were deemed ‘fine’.
The examiner was also criticised for the ‘simplicity’ of Q31 and Q32 – he can’t get it right poor man!
This exam was described as a ‘nightmare’, ‘tough’ and ‘hard’ by many sitters.
Despite being prepared and doing all the things the ACCA tell them to do, many ACCAs struggled with the Q1 cash flow question. It also seemed much harder than previous sittings.
On the bright side was Q4 on IFRS 19 Leases. Many liked this one!
One student remembered an article that suggested doing the exam in reverse, starting with Q4 and then go backwards. She was glad she took the advice as it helped her to attempt the full 100 marks!
