Marks blunder at Eurovision

Ernst & Young has become embroiled in a Eurovision Song contest marking blunder!

It all stems from the dismissal of the Belarusian jury following the reveal of their votes from the first semi-final. The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) with the help of voting monitor Digame, and approved by Ernst & Young, provided substitute scores for the night.

A standard review, however, found that the aggregate results were used due to human error. Although it has no impact on the final winner the UK’s entry ‘Bigger Than Us’ has had 5 marks off its total. Yes, poor old Michael Rice now only got 11 marks, the UK’s fourth lowest total in recent Eurovision history…
