CBE v paper exams
07 August 2017
The ACCA F5 examiner admits it takes a little more effort for CBE sitters to make sure the requirements are properly broken down when reading them, as they can be spilt over several screens.
To overcome any problems the examiner said CBE candidates just need to do a small plan in which they break down the requirements and ask themselves how many things they are being asked to do.
However, revealed in her Exam Report for June it was easier to be more focused when answering a question using word processing skills and spreadsheets. She said the mere fact that you can see more clearly what you have written also helps avoid the temptation to discuss things that are irrelevant. If you realize you missed something out it is easier to go back and insert it in the correct place, she pointed out.
