Accountant spared jail
08 August 2017
Accountant, Diana Vysniauskiene, who stole £122,000, was recently spared jail after she claimed her employers discriminated against her because she was a foreign woman.
The single mum used three personal bank accounts to illegally transfer the money, which she then spent on luxury holidays in the Middle East.
She was spared jail after the judge was told that her daughter might end up homeless if she was in prison.
Instead of jail Vysniauskiene has to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work, observe a three-month curfew between 8pm and 6am and carry out 30 days of rehabilitation activities.
