ACCA EXAMS DAY ONE
05 September 2017
September’s F8 and P7 exams
The MCQs were tricky for many. Some sitters also struggled with audit risk and response as it was just ‘too complex’.
While some thought it a tough paper, other said the paper seemed quite fair: “The long form questions weren’t too bad for a change.”
One worry was the number of MCQs where the answer seemed to be ‘D’ :/
This exam was ‘brutal’, and time pressure was the ‘normal terror’.
Students seem to continually struggle with the ‘very large’ Q1, and many admitted to spending too much time on getting this one right.
One PQ even revealed they spent two hours on Q1 this September leaving them just an hour to answer the three remaining questions.
Another big worry is the state of handwriting as they rush to get to the end of the paper.
The Q1 covered business risk, which was expected by many.
