ACCA EXAMS – DAY TWO FEEDBACK
F7 Financial Reporting
Section A was ‘a piece of cake’, section B was ‘a bit tricky’, but section C was ‘Oh boy, never seen anything like it before’.
There was a worry that Q32 was just too good to be true, almost too simple. Q31 was the one to worry about then and described as ‘just hell’ by a PQ on the Open Tuition noticeboard.
Another PQ wondered why there was no long question on consolidations.
P2 Corporate Reporting
Q1 was lenient and even a ‘lifesaver’ for some, Q2 was ‘reasonable’ and ‘fair enough’, but Q3 was described as ‘horrible’ and a ‘disaster’.
One PQ summed up Q1 perfectly: “No complex groups in Q1, no foreign subs, just a great deal of changes in shareholdings.”
Some sitters were also surprised that factoring came up. Overall, it was a pretty tough and testing paper – pretty normal then!
